Mark Ridgeon approached us with a brand new venture, Excellium, a company wishing to offer a range of tailored financial products, from Mortgages and income protection plans to Pensions & Life Cover, their primary business however is as a temporary contract umbrella employer.
We were approached 2-3 weeks before the company launch and set the task of developing a brand and positioning it in the market. There was already a logo in place, our task would be to work around this and create a competition beating appearance in a very competitive market, in addition to a strap line/slogan to be used across all marketing material.
We focused in on comments and feeling such as 'the ease of life', 'relaxation', 'how easy life could be', 'what if' etc... We wanted to visually show what Excellium do, with there no hassle online, 'what you see is what you get' system, your personal finance does become easy.
We chose a solution that played on fields and flowers yet forwarded cool contemporary images in contrast to the static approaches evident in the rest of their market. Open space, bright colour equally balanced against a blue/black colour base, which is simple with neat typography and classic font choices.
The result is a stunning, bright, fun and easygoing solution that is visually extremely powerful.
